The Future of Downtown: How Can We Reimagine San Francisco’s Core?

Join San Francisco Eastern Neighborhoods Democratic Club (ENDC) as we explore the future of our downtown in an interactive panel discussion.

With companies working from home, tourism & conferences slowing, and safety issues confronting our small businesses – the heart & character of San Francisco’s downtown skyline is poised to change forever. We’ll examine why the future of our city is so interwoven with our downtown and what challenges lay ahead.

Will the sounds and scents of San Francisco roar back, or will local restaurants & stores shutter at the drop in local foot traffic? Should large office buildings be rezoned for homes - and what role can downtown play in ending our housing crisis? What role does downtown have in the $800 million dollar budget shortfall our city faces?

In our discussions, we’ll explore bold ideas to reimagine downtown space, from new housing to more green space. Our panelists of speakers will span industries across city departments, elected officials, and community and business leaders.
