Affordable Housing: A Right or a Privilege?

How does Mayor Breed's "Housing for All" initiative enable the building of 82,000 homes in the next eight years?

What is the "Housing Element"? Why is this important? How many homes have we built in the past eight years? What are the consequences of not meeting our housing production goals?

With its access to public transit and swaths of underutilized land, the eastern neighborhoods are primed to put housing development plans in motion.

Many housing advocates are pushing to expand development plans across the city. Some see this development as a path to more affordable housing, while others are pushing back, saying, "Not in my backyard!"

Where do you stand? Can you afford to live here?
